Wii U's CPU exposed.
If you were in Shokio's livestream last night you'd know that the Wii U's CPU is causing Black Ops II to be slow because of the slow CPU. Factual. Exposed. What are your thoughts on this whole "slow CPU" stuff going around lately?

It's a vid of Shokio explaining the whole CPU situation and how this similar scenario has happened before to a pretty great console (PS3).

The difference here is that the PS3 had high clock speed but crappy architectures, the Wii U has low clock speed but significantly easier architecture.Soxas wrote:It's a vid of Shokio explaining the whole CPU situation and how this similar scenario has happened before to a pretty great console (PS3).

Yup and look how the PS3 turned out. It's an amazing system and with the Wii U having the gamepad and the exclusives ( and any other surprises Nintendo has up their sleeves) it could most definitely turn out better.MBParadox wrote:The difference here is that the PS3 had high clock speed but crappy architectures, the Wii U has low clock speed but significantly easier architecture.Soxas wrote:It's a vid of Shokio explaining the whole CPU situation and how this similar scenario has happened before to a pretty great console (PS3).

Especially considering 3rd party devs STILL port 360 versions to PS3.Soxas wrote:Yup and look how the PS3 turned out. Yup. The Wii U will be the XBOX 360 of the next gen BUT of course I mean that in a good way as in devs getting used to making the games on that system, hopefully.MBParadox wrote:Especially considering 3rd party devs STILL port 360 versions to PS3.Soxas wrote:Yup and look how the PS3 turned out. I would compare it more to the PS2.Soxas wrote:Yup. Yeah it'll most likely be the PS2 especially with all the praise it's getting from devs who make RPG's, MMO's, etc.MBParadox wrote:I would compare it more to the PS2.Soxas wrote:Yup. Especially with the Wii U Gamepad. RPG's and MMO's are mostly built around information, the Gamepad has its touch screen for displaying information in a very practical way.Soxas wrote:Yeah it'll most likely be the PS2 especially with all the praise it's getting from devs who make RPG's, MMO's, etc.MBParadox wrote:I would compare it more to the PS2.Soxas wrote:Yup. Does that mean that we could possibly see an Earthbound game on the Wii U?

Nope. The original creator said the earthbound series is finished.Thethundara wrote:MBParadox wrote:Especially with the Wii U Gamepad. Re: Wii U's CPU exposed.
The creator and Miyamoto were both asked about maybe porting over a couple games to the west and they said maybe if the chance comes up they might do it. Don't this idea yet!Thethundara wrote:MBParadox wrote:Nope. The original creator said the earthbound series is finished.Thethundara wrote:MBParadox wrote:Especially with the Wii U Gamepad.
