What's with *some* Pokemon fans?

I noticed that there are a lot of people who are going like "Oh, the new Pokemon are so stupid, unlike the OLDER Pokemanz. YEAH!" I think these people are forgetting a few things:

Grimer/Muk- This thing is literally a puddle of sludge.

Magmar- Just look at the thing!

Voltorb- A Pokeball.

Magnemite- It's a magnet with an eyeball.

Geodude- A floating rock with arms.

Diglett/Dugtrio- What is that thing? A... mole, I guess? It's some brown thing with a giant pink nose.

Pikachu- It's cute, but it's still a yellow rat with red cheeks.

Rattata- A purple rat. How exciting.

Magikarp- The king of karp, Magikarp! DOH!

Hoppip- It's a floating pink cat thing with two leaves on his head.

Paras- A crab with spores/mushrooms on it's back, and when it evolves, it becomes a giant mushroom.

Are we clear?

You could make this case for a lot or even all of the pokemon in the series. I guess some people like the older pokemon because they were very relateable/similar to real life animals with a few exceptions of course (Magmar lol).

my issue with Gen 5 is simple.

WHY? WHAT EVEN

not all pokemon are "great" sure you're right some are odd in old gens, but theres never been so many fucked up pokemon in ONE gen till 5th

its not impossible, I've done it for every game but B/W cause not all the events happened yet, and I mean Legitly

And SebTH this generation is the first gen that any pokemon has been designed by someone in America (the cone pokemon -_-).

They need to make a new Pokemon for a home console like the one on the GameCube, because Pokemon slowly is losing its handheld selling point. I don't nearly see as many people that play pokemon today as much as 4-5 years ago.

actually, I've seen pokemon get more fans recently

however, I do want a Real 3D Pokemon journey, not sprite based (like Colosseum but with fucking Gyms)

But, Gen 1 has a pile of sludge, that evolves into a bigger pile of sludge, literally.
