PewDiePie: what's the appeal?

If any of you are fans please tell me

I used to be a fan, but the more videos of his I watched the more I realized how obnoxious and unfunny he is. His voice is irritating and he screams way too much, half the time at nothing.

I only watched one or two videos of his, and it just doesn't appeal to me. Why people love watching him, I'll never understand. It just pays to be stupid, I guess. :/

The first and only thing I watched from him was the Slender videos, I couldn't even finish it. Too much pointless screaming and yelling, it doesn't come off as entertaining to me. I get that it's his gimmick but it makes his content unbearable for me. I have a few IRL friends that LOVE him... I honestly don't understand.
